Main areas of involvement in the low carbon transport agenda
City University London is home to a well-informed academic group which prioritises strong links with and relevance to business and the professions. We see ourselves as a catalyst for new thinking and action in transport management and technologies, delivering research depth, education and knowledge transfer.
Our diverse teams, coordinated through the City Collaborative Transport Hub, participate in investigations, innovative projects, test beds and educational developments that advance the agenda for decarbonised transport, with special emphasis on the implications for many World Cities.
Among our specialists you can find experts on Computational Fluid Dynamics; advanced transport engineering and evaluation of intelligent traffic and vehicle systems; electrical and high speed machines for hybrid vehicles; and Hydrogen fuel cell analysis.
The University also has a renowned Informatics school with deep expertise in human-centric systems, safety, and interface design, and this analytical depth is increasingly in demand from industry and infrastructure investors to support ambitious and complex approaches to intelligent mobility.
